Maybe because those other BONEHEADS were being put on a pedistal like they were heroes...and to me...How can ya be a hero when ya friggin' killed yourself with drugs or alchohol. That's not a hero...that's a moron.
With Frigo...he was an overlooked guitar player who everyone forgot about...No one made him a hero...so maybe that's why I was so soft.
I still think that anyone who does drugs...and I'm talking about some on here too...are morons for doing so. They see people die of drugs and still continue...Reality check people!!!

Ya got that right man...Weiland would be a HERO....in others eyes...but not mine.
I never understood how you got someone who made something of themselves and died of a disease or old age or what not...and have his name talked about for less than a week. Then ya got an idiot who lived a screwed up life partying and then dying of an overdose or too much alcohol intake...and they become like a HERO or sometimes even a GOD???...

People who do drugs are stupid. Oh and as some say it's a drug abuse is a DISEASE?...it's not a disease. A disease is cancer, lukemia, and those kinds of things. Anything you buy(drugs) that you put into yourself is not a disease at all. It's STUPIDITY.
To answer your question Carl...Did I like Frigo..sure did for him getting me more into wanting to learn guitar. Do I think he's stupid for drug use?...yes definately.
As always, it is sad to hear someone die, but I can still say that sure I can say the word "SAD"..but I still have no remorse for drunks or drug-users who chose to do it till they die or kill someone else for their problems.
But yeah it's still sad...sad meaining that it took them to die to get them to stop abusing.

Am gonna be brave here and disagree with my daddy Raggz about drugs.They ARE a disease!One of my best friends is an alcoholic and drug-user.It is not possible for her to say no to them,even if she would like to.Hell,I have tried everything to help her!But I think drugs,alcohol,cigarettes,or any addiction can be put to same category that depression for example.In short,none of us wants to be a druggie or depressed,but we are only human.We are not as strong as superheroes,we fail.Sometimes the mind becomes ones worst enemy.And what about somebody dying of heart-attack brought on by too much stress at work for example?Would you call that person stupid cos they were stressed?Nobody fukkin forced them to,but their mind wasnt strong enuff.This list could go on and on.My point is none of us is perfect,we all have our weaknesses and faults.Thats what makes us human,and makes the difference between us and robots. Sherri, i understand where you are coming from but i have to side with Marc here. I have no, nada, none, nil, absofuckinlutly no sympathy for anyone who dies of a drug overdose. if you die doing something stupid then that is your fault. i've had friends od before and they knew what they were doing. I wholeheartedly agree with Marc. it's a shame that someone who goes about there business in life, either recording music OR selling it at the store in the mall, and lives to be 90 is just another person but someone who gets all fucked up and makes an ass out of themselves is so fuckin cool because he can play guitar or beat on the drums or just has long hair and wears make up. then when they die it's oh so tragic. fuck that and the people who idolize them.

unless he was born addicted to drugs, there was a time when he was not addicted. he had the choice to do them or not to do them. he made his choice and now he has the consequences of his decision. i'm sure when he first started he thought he was cool and the girls around him thought that he 'ROCKED', well look where it got him. life is all about decisions and consequences, no one should/could make your decisions for you and in turn, no one should/could make excuses for the consequences.

But I still don't get why people say that drug addiction is a disease?
I mean for example...take a man that has lukemia....Okay...did he go to the nearest corner and say...Oh man..hey dude...hit me with a bag of lukemia...I need to shoot up some lukemia

Of course I understand Creepers&Raggs point,makes total sense.Just was trying to figure out where peeps would put the /line/limit.Like,racing drivers?Are they stupid?They know how dangerous it is 2 drive and they might very well die?Or cigarette smokers?Most of them die of an illness that smoking has contributed to?Are they stupid?And alcoholics?And peeps who often suffer from depression,but dont have the mindpower to stop it every time?Or very fat people?The list goes on.Yes,its fukkin stupid 2 became a drugaddict too.Hahah.And yes,I might have my own reasons for trying to justify many things,as have lost very dear peeps to alcohol.And to me they were ill.Not stupid.IMO.IMO.
